Sadly this April will mark the first year without Neil, something that even just a year ago we would never have imagined. The anniversary will be marked by 'A Night At The Movies' themed ball - a fitting tribute to Neil, who was always the life and soul of the party!

Melanie Wellings is organising the evening and has kindly offered that all monies raised will be donated to The Neil Vines Trust. The charity ball promises to be a wonderful evening of fun, fancy dress and prizes.

For more information on the evening and how to buy your tickets please click here.

Callum is raising money for The Neil Vines Trust by signing up to a tough cycle challenge at night! A huge thank you, as you begin your training in preparation for this inspiring event. Please take a look at Callum's story by visiting his Just Giving page here.

"I'm taking part in the London Nightrider on 4th June this year. I'll be cycling 60km (yes you may think I'm mad, I think so too) through the night. I start at 11.30pm and carry on through the night. I went to school with Neil and was lucky enough to attend his celebration service last year. Neil without much contact in 6 years has quite possibly saved my life. I've struggled with my weight since a young age and hearing about Neil and his battle gave me the determination to change my life forever. Since May I've lost 6 stone 7 pounds and am continuing to lose more, I feel I owe Neil a lot. By raising as much as I can through this Nightrider I will allow the family to have their wish of pursuing the charity in his honour."

Joe is raising money for The Neil Vines Trust by completing a half Iron Man on Sunday 28th June 2015 in Exmoor. If you would like to read about Joe's Iron Man and donate, please click here to see his Just Giving page. In Joe's words:

“7 hours and 11 minutes of misery. The rain started lashing down just as we entered the swim, I figured that once you're wet it doesn't really matter. 4 and a half hours on the bike and almost 2,000m of climbing in driving rain corrected me on that! The run, my least favourite event and something I'd normally do in about 1.30 took 2.20. But we got there and got the medal! If I hadn't have been doing it for Neil (and without the support of Neil's family on the day) I'm not sure I'd have finished!”

Congratulations Joe for completing your half Iron Man and thank you for raising money for Neil's charity! As of 8 July 2015 Joe has raised £590 plus Gift Aid!

On 10th June 2015 the Learning and Development Centres in Her Majesty's Naval Base Portsmouth teamed together to host a coffee and cake morning at HMS NELSON in aid of The Neil Vines Trust. Please click here to find out more.
